Trezor, the staple of Sarajevo’s techno scene, has closed its doors after 7 years of operation.

We’re sad to see one of the two proper clubs in Sarajevo close its doors. Some of our fondest nights in Trezor will remain Silicone Soul’s performance in its early days, Billain’s legendary audio-visual performances and some of the best Halloween parties in town.

But most of all, we will remember it for truly transforming Sarajevo’s techno scene like no other, providing space for many local DJs to grow and for the organizations such as Legato, minimalism records, BPM and others to establish themselves. We’d also like to thank the Trezor team for introducing Boiler Room style parties to Sarajevo, with the DJs located in the middle of the dancefloor.

But what we will miss the most is the consistency. Any time you were at a random pub in town that’s about to close for the night, you could be sure that the party in Trezor is just getting started.

Farewell Trezor. We hope to see another club rise from its ashes.

Trezor’s full statement

Dear all,

To our great sorrow, after 7 years of work, the time has come to write the hardest post — the one in which we say a permanent goodbye to you and our club 😔

The past three weeks have been extremely stressful, they felt like three years. We fought with all our strength, but today we have to sign our capitulation. We informed you that we received an order from one administrative body to take certain actions in our space. Although those actions involved very serious financial expenses, we ultimately decided to go ahead with them. However, another administrative body did not give us approval to carry them out, so we have no other option but to say farewell.

We won’t get overly sentimental — we hate that the most. It’s not our style. We’d like to thank all the DJs and artists we’ve worked with over the years. There’s no way we can list you all, but you know who you are ☺️ We’d also like to thank everyone else who has collaborated with us in any way.

A special thank you goes out to all of you who danced with us. You are the best! We’re sorry we didn’t have the chance for a farewell dance, but maybe it’s better that way — we’re sure we’ll meet again. The crew gathered around Trezor will definitely continue working in music and dance; it’s just too hard to let go. So we’ll be hearing from each other again! 🎶

We hope that over the years we’ve helped brighten some of your nights and mornings — we know you’ve brightened ours ❤️

Stay alive, healthy, happy, joyful, be good, and may the Force be with you! ❤️❤️❤️

P.S. We still owe you information about Nakadia’s performance. We’re working on an alternative location and will share final details in the next few days. Thank you for your patience regarding this.
