South African house producer Kyle Watson dropped his second album, Ask Me Tomorrow, last Friday via his own imprint No Context Records. It’s his second full-length album, following “Into the Morning” (2018).

The record exists because Watson put himself on a hard deadline — 18 weeks to write it start to finish, documenting the process as he went. The title nods to his old habit of deflecting questions he wasn’t ready to answer. “Eighteen weeks in the making, was it worth it?” he said on release. “I think so… ask me tomorrow.”

The 11 tracks lean on Watson’s thick, bass-heavy take on house, moving from the punchy “Keep Control” and “Load Up” to warmer cuts like “Bones” and “To The Start”. Walker & Royce, Will Clarke, Kosmo Kint, Scrufizzer, Ed Graves, Bobbi Fallon, MAY BBY, Body Ocean and PHFAT appear across the record.
