With the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival being just days away, we give you a rundown of all the cool parties happening across the city that you could check out after the movie screenings.
This year’s lineup during the festival is bigger than ever, with multiple heavyweights of electronic music set to perform at various locations, as well as dozens of local and regional DJs.
Five things you should know
To kick things off, The Prodigy is set to perform in Grbavica stadium this Thursday (Aug 13th), organised by the Garden of Dreams collective. Just a day later (Aug 14th), Garden of Dreams is organising another event on top of a rooftop in city centre. Saturday (Aug 15th) is reserved for the Spanish-Italian psymama Indira Paganotto, with her Bosnian debut coming less than a month after she performed at the mainstage of Tomorrowland. To close the festival, Bosnian-born Solomun is headlining a giant block party with no entrance fee in front of the Eternal Flame (Aug 21st). In between, you can catch acts such as Fedde Le Grand, Burak Yeter, NERVO, Quintino and more in Hotel Europe’s garden, as well as dozens and dozens of local and regional DJs across various venues.
Every venue’s programme in detail
Silver & Smoke programme (Zelenih beretki 12) → Sarajevo’s premier nightclub and the backbone of the local scene is set to host the creme de la creme of local DJs, as well as some regional ones.
Frka programme (Skenderija 23) → The younger of the two nightclubs is also gonna host parties all through the night, featuring collaborations with collectives from Serbia and Montenegro.
Hotel Europe programme (Vladislava Skarića 5) → Circus Maximus, a party brand from the famous Zrće breach in Croatia, is set to host some of the more mainstream EDM acts, such as NERVO, Quintino, Plastik Funk, Kaaze and more.
Summer Lounge programme (Skenderija plateau) → Traditionally, a pop-up venue is set to appear at the plateau of Skenderija complex. This year, the lineup will include few international acts, such as TEDDY-O, Rikaya and S.A.B.R.I.
Kawa programme (Dženetića čikma 16) → A tiny café near the Sacred Heart Cathedral has over the past years established itself as a location for afterwork parties, a perfect way to get your night started.
Delikatesna radnja programme (Obala kulina bana 10) → A fancy nightbar will also be offering some local and regional acts to start your night.
Raya71 programme (Saliha Hadžihuseinovića Muvekita 2) → A fancy cocktail bar in the heart of the city where you can also catch some of the local DJs.
