Roman Amphitheatre

Flavijevska ulica bb, Pula 52100

The Roman Amphitheatre in Pula, also known as the Pula Arena, was constructed between 27 BC and AD 68, during the reigns of Emperors Augustus and Vepasian. One of the best-preserved ancient Roman amphitheatres in the world and the only remaining example to retain its entire circular wall structure, which used to serve as the main venue for gladiator fights, animal hunts, and other forms of public entertainment. Its entertainment potential continues to this day, where it occasionally acts as a dancefloor for large-scale musical acts.
